Fabulous.

I’ll be honest- I thought my birthday was going to suck being in Spain…it didn’t.


I was surprised at midnight with cakes, flowers, and gifts. Then the next day a group of us went for a little road trip through the infamous Pueblos Blancos and made a few stops in Ronda, Arcos de la Frontera, and Grazelema. Some of the prettiest countryside I’ve ever seen. That night more lovely friends surprised me with champagne and the sweetest thing ever- homemade lemon bars and banana bread just to give me a little piece of home. Qué cumpleaños feliz!

The good weather is FINALLY here and like Jenny says- ‘’soak up those rays…someone should be tan by June.’’ Well said.

Only 23 more days in Spain and 26 more days until I touch down in Seattle (God willing the volcano doesn’t explode again…) and I am not ready to come home yet (this is coming from the girl who could barely spend the night at her best friend’s house who lives 10 minutes away). But don’t think for one second I don’t miss everyone!

Things I’m not looking forward to:
1. Trying to shove all my clothes in my suitcase
2. Only having the option of speaking English everyday
3. Not being able to walk home at 2 in the morning without the risk of being mugged

Things I’m looking forward to:
1. A triple iced veinte white chocolate Americano as soon as I get off the plane
2. Laughing with Kennah until we can’t breathe
3. Eating dinner at 6 instead of 11
